Old / Broken Furniture Needed

Oct 9, 2011   //   by admin   //   News  //  No Comments
We need your old unused furniture! Anything you have lying around on your roof or balcony, getting in the way and unwanted we will take: even if it it is missing a leg, broken or chipped or just simply in pieces it has a home with us where we will breath into it new life!

From January Maadi Community School in partnership with Africa Hope Learning Center will begin a new Design and Technology project involving taking old furniture and making it new. This project will teach practical and artistic refurbishment skills, basic business concepts and the importance and potential of recycling.

Please let us know if you have any thing to donate. If you are unable to bring the furniture your self we can arrange to have it picked up.

Please call us on 023585911 and give to the future!

Change in Egypt Cell Phone Numbers

Oct 2, 2011   //   by admin   //   News  //  1 Comment

A change in all cell phone numbers in Egypt has just been announced and will be in effect as of October 6, 2011.  All numbers will now consist of 11 digits instead of 10 in order to allow the cell phone companies to accommodate additional lines.

The changes will be per the attached schedule.  Also, please see the link below for yesterday’s press release regarding this issue (go to the top left hand side of the screen and select “English” for the English version).

We have heard that there will be a grace period of 2-3 months when the old numbers will continue to work but ask that you  be prepared and alert your family and friends of this change based on the October 6 timeline.
