Faith and Purpose

Purpose Statement:

Maadi Community School provides affordable education primarily for children of expatriate development workers and other expatriate families in Cairo , through a rich and challenging internationally recognized curriculum . Maadi Community School educates the ‘whole child’ to think independently, become life long learners, respect others and integrate a Christian world view into their lives. “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it” Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)

Statement of Faith:

MCS agrees upon the Apostles’ Creed as indicating the basic convictions of the organisation :

I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell: the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic [universal] church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Upon this foundation of our faith, we covenant with one another and with God to labor together as true disciples of Jesus Christ.
